I got 10 requests for a hit and only two responses so I am going to re ask the
question just in case anyone out there still has answers and I promise to post a
new hit with any new responses.
Here is the original Question
I have read several ideas about using NO David to teach library rules in the
archives. There was a posting about creating a No David Yes David game by making
questions on sentence strips and pulling them out of a bag. Does anyone have a set
of those questions so I dont have to reinvent the wheel. The example question in
the post read, David wanted to get to the bus first and he dropped his library book
in the hall. After the question is read in the game students would then hold up a
NO David card.
Thanks for any help!!!!
 Here are the responses
Shiloh,
I like this idea! I use a No, David box with my life skills classes. I use
items in the box like gum, toy dog, bookmarks, and soap that the children
say/shout No, David or Yes, David to when they pull them out. I think this
is a Judy Freeman idea.

But, I'd like to do something a little different this year because I have
many of the same children for three years in this program.

I just made up a few questions. Here they are.

David loves his library book so much he wants to read it everywhere! Should
he take it with him in the bathtub?

To show the place where he is reading in his book, should David always use a
bookmark?

When David goes to Library class, sometimes he gets mad and pouts if he
doesn't get his favorite chair. Is that the best way for David to behave?
Discussion: What should David do instead? How can we turn this into a Yes,
David?

David's dog, Fluffy, wants to carry his book for him - in his mouth! Should
David let him?

David wants to get a book out that he knows is too hard for him to read. He
just wants to look at the pictures. Is that okay? Follow-on discussion.
Should he ALWAYS do this? Who else can read it with him? How can he find
books that he CAN read?

After playing outside, David comes in to read his book. First, he washes his
hands. Then, he reads his book. Is he doing the right thing?

David likes to eat ice cream sundaes with hot fudge while he reads. What
should we tell him? Why?

Once, David's library book had an accident. It got wet when he spilled a
glass of water on it. David told the librarian and gave her money to buy a
new one. Was that the right thing to do?

 The ones I remember...
David let his little brother color in his book.
David read his book while eating a snack.
David keeps his book in his backpack.
David tells the teacher his book has a rip.
David turns the pages slowly.
David uses a shelf marker to find his books.
David plays a game of tag in the library with his best friend.
David reads to his little sister.
David remembers to use a bookmark.
David folds the page to mark his place.
