[LM_NET] Internet courses-students may retain all lessons

Hi Everyone,
   DON'T DELAY ..........These two courses are totally     on line courses
for educators. These are asynchronous classes, which means that there is no
designated time that you have to be on line.  Each week's lesson is posted
on line and students have 7 days to complete and post their assignments.

Please let me know if you are interested in registering for them. The only
way to register for these classes is through my office via an e-registration
form or by calling at 401- 874-4108. They are only open to practicing
educators. Classes start on Monday, Sept 10th.

raw data found online, evaluate its worth and credibility, and effectively
use it to solve an issue or problem. This is an online, asynchronous course
with no classroom meetings.Students will interact completely through a blog,
as well as learn what a blog is, how to use one, and how to access
educational blogs from teachers around the world.

TOPIC: USING BLOGS AND WIKIS TO FOSTER LITERACY* (3 grad credits)

*This course focuses on the pragmatism of using Web 2.0 tools in education.
Participants will learn how to use the 'Read/Write Web' to foster literacy
in and out of school, to deepen learning and increase student achievement,
to create opportunities to bring these *technologies to the larger school
community, and to identify assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of
Read/Write Web technologies in their personal practice and with their
students.
