I am forwarding this request from one of my closest friends who is a
Special Ed. teacher in Maine.  If you can help with his request, I'll
forward your email on to him.



I am teaching Global Geography this fall as a "self-contained" class with 5
students. These five students have the same case manager who happens to be
their English teacher.  I am looking for pen pals in 5 states and 5
countries. So far I think I have Alaska and Indiana.   My students,
although will be 9th graders are not at that level in terms of reading
and/or writing.  Maybe there are similar classes that would like to do this
as a project, or the teacher's class can write to my students.
I would like to start this sometime in mid to late September.
