I assume you want to sticker based on content, not on reading level. I have
books in my library that I have a sign on "must be in seventh grade", as
well as some that have a YA for high school only. I see nothing wrong with
that. Unless you have a library devoted to only one grade, you are going to
have books that are appropriate for some kids, but not for others. To allow
all students access to all books in my 6-12 library would mean I would have
to have books only OK for sixth graders. That's ridiculous, IMHO.
It's like all the "child in the middle of the back seat" car seat warnings
and toys not OK for children under 3 warnings. Nice idea, but I had 4 kids.
I couldn't put them all in the middle (whom should I choose to be "safe"
today??!!), nor did I make my oldest son wait until the youngest was three
to have Lego, etc.
