[LM_NET] HIT: Kindergarten and Constitution Day

Thank you if you responded to my request for Constitution Day activites for
Kindergarten.  My apologies for the delayed HIT, you know how that goes!!

One year, we made a photocopy of the Constitution, taped a bunch of sheets
of paper to the end, and set up a "signing booth" in the library.  The kids
came by and "signed" the Consitution.  I put it up in the library and the
kids came all year to find their name on it.





One of our recently-retired professors at our local college has made a
classroom guide; it's attached. He wants to share it with anyone who can use
it; feel free to pass it on!   (As LM_Net does not accept attachments I will
forward this directly to anyone who requested a HIT)



I did a very simple unit with my K and 1 kids last year.  We have access to
United Streaming and there is a simple video on U.S Symbols.  We watched the
video and discussed the different symbols and what they mean, then the
students drew pictures of their favorite symbols.  I posted those to our
school web site.  (I removed them at the beginning of this school year)
