one year I simply sent out an email to all staff and asked who would like to participate. then i took the digital camera and took pictures of them actually reading the book and posted those photos on the bulletin board with a label with the title/author on it. this year, i used the FirstBook website: http://www.firstbook.org/site/c.lwKYJ8NVJvF/b.674095/k.CC09/Home.htm and copied the personal photos and blurbs of celebrities talking about the first book that got them excited about reading, then went to Amazon/ebay/library catalogs with photos, etc. and got photos of those books to include. i scattered those all over the bulletin board, and included one for myself (it was Wizard of Oz for me!) now i am encouraging staff to participate by writing a blurb about the book that got them excited about reading and then i'll take their photo and include it as a "celebrity". -- Leah Hawkins, Librarian West Hurst Elementary Hurst, TX leahleah@tx.rr.com "It's no use going to school unless the library is your final destination."
