Hi All, I know this is kind of a strange request, but I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share a basic outline of the order in which they teacher library skills to 2nd and 3rd graders or provide suggestions on where I can find that information. Since it is my first year, I want to make sure that I do not skip over anything important. So far I have covered library rules and expectations, book care, and this week will start an ABC review and its importance in the library for 2nd grade and fiction v. non-fiction for the 3rd grade. I only have 2nd and 3rd grade (14 and 13 of each grade, respectively) so I am looking to cover all of the important skills and would love any exciting lesson ideas since I am doing each lesson so many times each week.
