My principal wants to use "reading aloud" as the theme for our Oct. staff meeting and she has asked me to put together a list of great read-alouds for all grade levels (K-6). I have a list from Jim Trelease's seminar and, of course, my personal favorites but I would appreciate your suggestions. I know that some books do not always lend themselves to being read aloud. Also, I understand that the reading level of the book doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the grade level to which it is read since most students' listening level is higher than their reading level. I am most interested in books published in the last few years but will take any and all recommendations. When you respond, please include the grade level to which you recommend the book be read. Thanks so much for your help! /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Brenda Young, MLIS Teacher-Librarian Rose Hill Elementary Omaha, NE brenda.young@ops.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
