Thank you to those who took the time to respond to my question. I have posted a
HIT of the few responses I received. I will pass these on to my ESL teacher, and
continue to be on the lookout for picture books that use a variety of colorful
VERBS.

  ORIGINAL POST:
TARGET-> Children's Books Using Verbs for ESL Students

I have a question from an ESL teacher who teaches 4th and 5th graders. He is
looking for children's picture books on the 1st to 3rd grade level to help teach
his students VERBS (either fiction or nonfiction). He says that he has seen plenty
of appropriate titles when he wasn't needing them, and now that he needs them, he
can't remember any of the names!

I have checked the archive--questions about "verb" books have been asked before,
but some of the TARGETS were not posted as HITS. He is familiar with the Heffler
and Cleary books--he wants more everyday (trade) book ideas. I did get some great
ideas for books that teach adjectives for him though! :)

  HIT:

How about Brian Cleary's book To Root, to Toot, to Parachute: what is a verb?.
He has a whole series on the different parts of speech.
