Date: Sat, 29 Sep 2007 04:50:59 -0700 From: Becky Martinez <blorfeldm@YAHOO.COM<about:blank>> Subject: Elem: ABC order I am writing in response to the posting (pasted below) about a website for teaching children about putting books in ABC order. While I agree that the site looks like fun for primary children, it is teaching them the wrong thing about how books are shelved. They are never shelved alphabetically by title or subject as the activity would lead us to believe. I would like an accurate activity which has authors being alphabetized. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Original Posting: Someone asked about the website about putting books in order. http://www.columbia.k12.mo.us/dre/drelmc.htm<about:blank> This webpage has several links to webpages for ABC order and Dewey.
