Thanks so much to everyone who responded to my request. Here are the suggestions
I received for ESL resources:

Our ESL teacher really likes the monthly newspaper, Easy English News.
It comes with a teacher guide. You can find out more at
http://www.elizabethclaire.com/

I would start with
https://piratemail.ecu.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.bayworld.net/ferlazzo/english.html
It is hosted by Larry Ferlazzo. He has put together tremendous resources for
teachers and students. He teaches Social Studies and English to English Language
Learners and native-English speakers at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento,
CA. He was named the Grand Prize Winner of the 2007 International Reading
Association Presidential Award For Reading and Technology. He has a website with
over 7,000 categorized links accessible to English Language Learners and younger
native English speakers and a blog
(https://piratemail.ecu.edu/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/
where he daily shares new content added to the website.

Call Mackin, 1-800-245-9540 and ask for their title recommendations.
They carry over 2 million in-print titles online with 18,000 publisher
contracts to back them. Real people answer the phones to help you.
They can give you title recommendation lists to help. Really
wonderful folks!
