Did anyone catch NPR's Mar 30th interview with BitTorrent's developer, Bram 
Cohen? Streamed below.

It wasn't Cohen's explanation of filesharing efficiency and 'share with your 
brother' philosophy of information trading that bothered me. I see the techie 
beauty of it all. But...it was the NPR interviewer, Andrea Seabrook, who 
insisted intellecutal property was an "old fashioned" idea. She made listeners 
believe it is time the little guy stand up to media moguls (Hollywood/Sony, etc.) 
who, apparently, supply the only content creators on the planet.

Young people eat up this 'us against them' mentality and hardly realize it is 
only hurting their own. Now, I'm mostly thinking of budding artists and 
musicians, not the goofy Spielburg wanna -be's on You Tube. The economics are 
changing for selling music, no question. And it's not a bad thing. Who needs a big 
record contract? But, there is no discussion of ethics of 'taking without 
paying' or 'taking, changing and profiting.'
