I guess I would be called an "Information Technician". I have a *Communication Arts Associates Degree *(3 year college diploma Canada), worked as a Marketing Coordinator, and now have 2 years ESL and 4 years ICT internationally. My next job is as a Librarian Media Specialist. All my educational pedagogy comes from my teacher husband and my voracious reading/watching of Edutopia, Edweek, Teacher Magazine, PBS TeacherLine, Teachers TV, TES, Educational Podcasts, EdTech Conferences, etc...I think I try to overcompensate my lack of education by absorbing myself in all things educationally related. I lead many professional development workshops because I have the tech skills to deliver the latest "best practices" in education. Many co-workers can't believe I am not qualified and say I am more passionate than most "Certified" Teachers they know. * PROBLEM:* Getting a the basic Undergrad degree has been a nightmare - Teacher Qualifications may never happen for me, let alone a Masters! 1. *AIU online* (Bachelor of Fine Art) only online degree I could find that would transfer credits from my Communication Arts Associates Degree. Eight months into it they told me I needed to pay twice as much to graduate. Originally told $18,000 since so many of my Commercial Arts courses transferred in. I had to quit and lost all my credits plus $5000 - still owe $9000 to continue and will cost $36,000 to finish. AIU went on probation for "faulty recruiting practices". Being overseas means I can't do a damed thing about it. 2.* Athabasca University* (Bachelor of General Studies) ongoing enrollment - need 21 courses to finish. Working full time - I will be 95 when I graduate. * QUESTION:* Does anyone know of an online *Undergraduate Degree *that would accept my *Communication Arts Associates Degree*? Applied Arts don't transfer to any undergrad other than Fine Arts - which I can't physically attend (two kids and a full time job - can't stop working for 3 or 4 years *and* pay for my education). I want to be a "real teacher librarian"!
