What drives me crazy about prom is that about 2 months before it happens all the
computers are taken up by girls who are searching the web for pictures of prom
dresses! Then they get upset when I ask them to give up their computer for someone
who needs to do school work. I just try to remember how important prom was at that
age and be patient :)

Subject: Re: What drives me mad/ prom

I, too, have had the "pleasure" of being a class sponor with prom duty. Every year
it's the same thing. "We want to have the best prom ever". The last time I had to
do it, we had a girl on the committee who insisted that we offer a meal with prom.
Our school hadn't done that in 25 years. I tried to keep that tradition, but the
girl went over my head and got the administration to say it was OK. Not only that.
We had to offer the ticket with or without dinner. What a mess. The kicker was
even better. The girl who had made my life miserable about the whole dinner thing
didn't even go for the dinner! Never again. Been there, done that.
