The fifth graders in my district are being presented with free dictionaries sometime next week, and we ( media specialists and fifth grade teachers) have been asked to come up with a very simple program for this presentation. I'm thinking a cute skit about the dictionary, or some good quotes about dictionaries, or even a readers theater/choral reading thing with dictionaries as a theme, or something else along those lines. But, of course, I can't come up with anything more specific. I've searched, but any item that has dictionary in it has lessons, and not ideas for a program. If you have thoughts, suggestions, inspirations, please send them my way. Thanks!
