Arlington Central School District, a growing and respected district in Dutchess County, is located in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley of New York State, about 90 miles north of New York City and about 90 miles south of Albany. (http://www.arlingtonschools.org) We have an opening for a primary School Library Media Specialist (Grades K-2). Overlook Primary School is one of thirteen district schools, consisting of nine elementary, three middle schools and one high school. It is presently a sister school to a nearby intermediate school (3-5). The library is automated (Follett Circ+) and all computers have Internet access. Applicants must have solid computer skills as well as an ample understanding of information literacy and a love of elementary literature. One aspect that sets the Arlington Library Media Specialists apart is our strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
