There are technical solutions that will limit computer browsing to particular domains.? It's possible your tech person meant that it can't be done with your current setup.? You would have to purchase another product to do this.? A couple that I see are offered at: http://www.wavecrest.net/products/cyblock/sa/index.html?- pricing is not here, but it does say educational discounts are available -- or http://www.safe-install.com/programs/web-site-zapper.html?- is a shareware program, license is $25 -- my guess is that is per computer. I don't have experience with either of these.? There are probably more.? I just searched on 'limit web browsing by domain"?? It is true though that it is very hard to sort out positive, learning internet websites versus just-junk.? I do know that at least one of these offerings allows you to restrict not just based on domain, but also based on time of day.? This might allow you to establish a restricted usage time versus free-access time.
