I am looking for resources, back-up, evidence, websites, or anything that
will help an elementary colleague. I have checked the archives, but I
must be using the wrong search terms because nothing is coming up that is
what I need.
Here's the request: A colleague at an elementary school (2nd and 3rd
grades) has been told by her principal that she will be teaching reading
(in a classroom) to strugglers from 8:00-10:30 every day next school year.
Obviously, this is not an ideal arrangement for running a library,
especially considering that she has duty responsibilities which also take
her away from the library.
I know we've discussed this before on the list, so I need to be able to
help her with INFORMATION and EVIDENCE that the library (and the
librarian) should be full time.
Can anyone help and direct me to some sources of information?
