[LM_NET] Teen Magazines in French and Spanish

I have a parent requesting that I purchase subscriptions to some
magazines in French and Spanish for our students who take foreign
language.  The mother mentioned Glamour in French, Marie-Claire in
French, National Geographic in French and Spanish and People in Spanish.

 

I have two concerns with the French magazines.  One is cost - each
subscription is about $100 per year, and I don't think that many
students will read them.  The second is content.  I don't subscribe to
Glamour and other adult fashion magazines in English, so subscribing to
them in French doesn't make much sense.  I'm pretty liberal, but  these
are a bit much for teens in a school library setting.  As for National
Geographic, the kids don't read it in English, so  I doubt they'll read
it in another language.

 

Does anyone know of any high interest magazines in French or Spanish for
teens that are appropriate for a high school library and reasonably
priced?
