Dear all- I hope you are enjoying your summer. In planning for the upcoming school year, I'd like to pool the "collective brain" and ask if you can think of some picture book read-alouds (grades 1-3) that I can use for two separate lessons: 1. I would like the students to write a letter to a story character (literature response). What is a good way to begin the motivation? and: 2. I would like the students to vote for their favorite character in a story (literature response). What is a good way to begion the motivation part of the lesson?
