My question was concerning state laws about AED defibrillators. Thanks for all the responses. Following are some helpful links Tracy Zoeller sent I thought might be helpful to the group. She did want me to mention we are not lawyers:) Thanks again. Link to where to get a free one. http://www.ohioschoolaedproject.com/ This is a link to a list of state laws about them. Scroll down for Ohio. http://www.ncsl.org/programs/health/aed.htm This is an old EMS newsletter. http://www.ems.ohio.gov/Publications/EMSSirenNewsletter/Siren11-1204.pdf This is a school's P&P about them. http://www.vandaliabutlerschools.org/pdfs/aed_docs/bhspolicies&proc.pdf It doesn't look like they are actually required at all, but are highly recommended after a lawsuit from a parent. Best practices would be one per building plus one in each high physical activity (gym, football field, etc). -- DaShannon Lovin, Library Media Specialist Blanchester High School Blanchester Local Schools Blanchester, Ohio lovind@blanchester.k12.oh.us -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
