I come humbly begging your assistance. I am doing a work shop for
teachers tomorrow on using School World to build classroom websites. I
have been so busy planning the "how and the what" - i completely forgot
about the "why". I know there will be teachers who will ask - "Why do I
need to do this?" "Why is it better than what I am already doing?"
"Why should I try to fit in one more thing?"

I need ideas on why a teacher would want a website - what is the
purpose, how can they use it to enhance teaching. Any ideas you can
share would be great - the more specific the better.

The obvious ones are:

Provide information for parents
Post homework assignments
Provide course outlines.
Post links to instructional materials.

Other ideas????

P.S. Even if you see this email after tomorrow - but you have some good
ideas - please share them. I may be asked to do this again, and I'm
always looking for ways to improve.

Thanks so much for your help!!

Jacquie
