[LM_NET] Tar: Elem WWII Supplimental Reading

Hi All,

 

I am putting together a list of supplemental readings for a 4th grade class
that will be reading Lois Lowry's Number the Stars.  I have Polacco's The
Butterfly, Elliott's Under a War Torn Sky and Burchac's Code Talkers.  

 

I need several fiction and non-fiction books that go with Number the Stars.
I am particularly looking for books that will interest the boys in the
class.  

 

Also, what do you think about the movies Midway (with Charlton Heston) and
The Longest Day (with John Wayne as the commanding general of the 82nd
Airborne) for this age group?
