[LM_NET] HIT: Spine Label Standard Placement?

Thanks to all those who took the time to respond.  

 

Many responded "at the bottom of the spine."  Two respondents were taught in
school that 1" above the bottom of the book was the correct placement, but
responses varied up to 2" from the bottom.  Some respondents advised to pick
a standard and stay with that unless the title of the book or other
important information was covered with a particular placement.  One LMS
suggested that placing labels vertically helped readability on narrow
elementary books.
