While not exactly what you want, there is an adorable Book House on the
cover of the most recent issue of Children and Libraries, The Journal of the
American Association for Library Service to Children (Vol. 6, No. 3, Winter
2008). Instructions are given to recreate the Book House.

This is an outstanding issue of the journal. It comes as part of membership
to ALSC, the same organization one must belong to for consideration to be on
the Caldecott and Newbery Award Committees.

The back pages indicate who will be the 2009 candidates for three of the
2011 committees and includes at least a couple of school librarians.

I find this journal excellent for its practical advice and relevance to my
daily practice. Included are the acceptance speeches from the 2008 Pura
Belpre winners Yuyi Morales and Margarita Engle; 2008 Siebert Award winner,
Peter Sis; and 2008 May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture winner, David Macaulay.

This issue is so good, I can't decide to whom I should pass it first!

Subject: [LM_NET] OT: Library cottage facade

Hello everyone,

I have seen a photo of a 3-D cottage or cabin front porch facade inside a
library (public or school) that was adorable.  I'd like to recreate a
similar look but cannot find the website with this photo.  Perhaps somone on
this site will be of help.  I vaguely remember it being the backdrop setting
for storytime.  I think there was a rocking chair on the "front porch".  I'd
love to contact someone in the know about how to make this for our library.
(It was very sturdy looking, not a cardboard/butcher paper creation.)
Thanks.
