[LM_NET] OT:Legal free music downloading?

I got an Ipod for Christmas and know how to use it for audiobooks I've subscribed 
to at school and at my public library.  But what's a safe, legal, and FREE site for 
downloading music?  (I don't want nasty monthly fees or something to take over my 
computer!)
Please email me off list--probably most of you have been downloading for years.  
Me, I've still been out walking with a Walkman!
