Greetings, I have hit a wall with a music question and thought someone wiser than I could help. Our teachers have School notes pages, which are small webpages they have for parent and student communication. Following an example on the school notes page, some teachers have added stand alone music players to their pages. You can see the example here http://www.schoolnotes.com/94521/lagazoa.html. The stand alone player is at the bottom of the page. This is NOT a teacher at our school, but his page is used as an example. Our teachers have been told by someone else on campus that they are stealing music if they use a stand alone player like the one used on this page. I have consulted my copyright materials, but haven't found an answer to this one. I would like to know if it is permissible to use music this way since I will be teaching a class on creating school notes pages in a couple of weeks. Thank you for your help.
