Hello wise colleagues, I am wondering if anyone can enlighten me as to why there are some oddly expensive DVD's out there?? A teacher in my school is looking to buy "A Cry in the Wild"- a movie based on Gary Paulsen's novel "Hatchet." Amazon.ca has it listed for $189!! In his words, "why the heck does an unknown, low budget, second-rate video become so expensive?!?!?!? Surely it can't be in such a limited print as to be able to charge 4 to 5 times the cost of the latest releases!!!!" Movies with Public Performance Rights aren't even that expensive. On the same note, if anyone knows a supplier of a good educational DVD dealer (that ships to Canada) I'd be appreciative!
