I got a lot more requests for a hit than info.

Our own migrant ed department and Spanish teachers have looked at the site
and the consensus is that there is nothing objectionable about the
site. That being said, our AUP specifically states that limited resources
not be wasted. Policy is that our computers are to be used for educational
purposes only.

The site is apparently being used here primarily as a social networking site
which is not an acceptable use of computers in our district. After input
from a number of people (including teachers who have pulled students off
that site when they are to be working on lessons instead), the decision was
made to block the site.

Comments:
"El Padrecito is a legit Catholic priest who answers kids'
questions. While it may have the look and feel of Face book, I think
it's a lot tamer. I wouldn't necessarily say it's inappropriate for fear
of being labeled anti-Hispanic or anti-Catholic-- it may be
inappropriate in a school setting but blocking it sends the wrong
message IMHO. Please ask the Catholic diocese in your area if they think
it's a legit site."

"it looks like a social networking site more than a church."

"It wouldn't be in our school unless it was directly related to a class
assignment!"
