I read the book Brief Garland, by Harold Keith and watched the movie "Believe in Me" which was based on the book. This is a true story of a girl's basketball team in Oklahoma during the 1960's. The book makes the point (and I remember it from my basketball days of long ago) that girls didn't play full court then, but played half court. In the movie, however, they appeared to play full court, which brings me to my questions. 1. When did girls basketball switch to full court in Oklahoma? 2. Did they play full court in other states during the 1960's? One of my friends thought they played full court in Kansas, but wasn't sure of the dates. This is driving me crazy.
