I have an English teacher asking for help in finding prose selections and poems for students to recite in competition. The selection cannot exceed 6 minutes. It needs to be something where the student can show off their skills in changing tone and tempo and can include multiple voices, but does not have to. Many of theses students who did poetry in elementary school used Shel Silversteing and Jack Prelutsky but are now looking for something a little "older". Any suggestions for books or websites?
