On a similar note, there is also a Texas School Librarians' ning for those of you from (or feel you might as well be a part of) the Lone Star state. Like the other nings, the Texas School Librarians' ning is a place to share information, resources, ideas, videos, and thoughts (or complaints). It's also a great place to get to know everyone you hear from on both LM_NET and the Texas Librarians' listserv and put a name to a face (our favorite way to connect)! To join, go to: http://txschoollibrarians.ning.com/ Our "sister site" is the Texas School Librarians' wiki: http://txschoollibrarians.wikispaces.com/ This is a place to post those documents, powerpoints, lists, or links that we want to share with others---or always need but can never find!! These sites were both just created last summer (when I had WAY too much time on my hands)...but they are slowly growing and we hope you'll want to join. As the saying goes, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could!"....the same is true with the Texas School Librarians' ning and wiki....you may not be from Texas, but you're certainly welcome to become a member "as quick as you can!" Feel free to check either site and join, if you're interested in learning about what Texas School Librarians are thinking or saying amongst themselves! ~Shonda -- Shonda Brisco, MLIS District Librarian Peaster ISD Weatherford, TX 76086 Currently reading: "Burned" by Ellen Hopkins Digital Bookends wiki / blog: http://digitalbookends.pbwiki.com http://shonda.edublogs.org/ sbrisco@gmail.com Resources for Texas School Librarians: http://txschoollibrarians.ning.com/ http://txschoollibrarians.wikispaces.com/ "Digital Resources" columnist School Library Journal -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
