I don't know how I missed it, (too much good info on LM_NET, thus
dependence, creating a lazy search on my part?) but the hands down winner
for How to Draw Manga is author Christopher Hart, with numerous school
library friendly versions....

Hart, Christopher.

Anime mania :
how to draw characters for Japanese animation
how to draw Japanese comics
how to draw the charming and romantic characters of Japanese comics
how to draw the characters and environments of manga video games
how to draw the dastardly characters
etc.

Others mentioned were:
The art of drawing and creating manga action / Gray, Peter
Manga monster madness / Okum, David
Manga clip art : Everything you need to create your own professional looking
manga art-work / Hayden Scott-Baron
How to draw more manga / Coope, Katy

One caution from several people was that the books frequently disappear.
Thanks to all who contributed!
