Please pardon me for asking this question if my answer really is in the archives, but I've been looking for a while now and haven't found anything yet. Is there a recommended height for library shelving in a high school? A minimum and a maximum. I'm familiar with ADA standards for the max, but I'm having a hard time with the minimum. I've found Targets for similar questions in the archives, but no hits. I'm sure there's a book out there, that I've ordered..but the meeting with the architects is today. Thanks! Jen Jennifer Turney, Librarian Angleton High School Texas Library Association--Tayshas Committee jturney@angletonisd.net <mailto:jturney@angletonisd.net> You see, I don't believe that libraries should be drab places where people sit in silence, and that's been the main reason for our policy of employing wild animals as librarians. (Monty Python skit) And so the moment we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold into a library, we've changed their lives forever, and for the better. This an enormous force for good.
