[LM_NET] video to ipod to tv

I was inspired by those who are using an ipod to show video on a TV. I
want to order ipods for that purpose, but I am confused by all the
information on the internet.

Could someone please help me out? The older 5 G ipods used to work with
more generic cables. I want to load video on the ipod, play it and then
delete it. Even though it will mostly be used for short videos, is 5 G
adequate for a full length movie. I hate to spend $300 for an ipod with
the $50 cable if I could get a two ipods for the same money that would
work. I'm also reading about Apple changing the functions so they can no
longer connect to TV.  Can anyone guide me to what I really want for the
library?
