I have students who are into collecting old books. Frequently they ask
me to tell them what the book is about, either before or after they
purchase it. I need a free resource that will give me a summary of
older, (not classic) popular adult-level books. I can find many of the
titles they bring to me on book collector and antique Internet sites -
but these sites do not summarize the plot. Most of the titles they have
asked me about have been 1930s, 40s, and 50s, and all are out of print.
I can find some of the titles in local public library catalogs, but they
do not summarize the plot, either. Any ideas?
