I have students who are into collecting old books. Frequently they ask me to tell them what the book is about, either before or after they purchase it. I need a free resource that will give me a summary of older, (not classic) popular adult-level books. I can find many of the titles they bring to me on book collector and antique Internet sites - but these sites do not summarize the plot. Most of the titles they have asked me about have been 1930s, 40s, and 50s, and all are out of print. I can find some of the titles in local public library catalogs, but they do not summarize the plot, either. Any ideas? Sharon Slaney, Librarian Timberlake H.S. Library 5973 W. Hwy 54 P.O.
