Reading level -- is not grade level
nor does lexile level have anything to do with
comprehension level

HIgh interest -- low reading level books --
How many of you have purchased them?

My goodness --
I get so frustrated that people think reading level or
lexile level has anything to do with comprehension
level or recommended grade level.

COme on folks
we need to do a better job of educating teachers,
students, etc.

Here is a perfect example

http://www.hip-books.com/srnovels.php

These novels are reading level 3.4 4 but interest
level grades 6 - 10
The reading level has nothing to do with content
