Two responses to this question...

Hello,

Is anyone participating in the Search and Give fundraising venture
offered by Scholastic and Microsoft?

Any comments?

I will post a HIT

Hi! I found this website last fall through LM_NET the posts at the time
said that it was indeed legit. I've used the site several times on a
regular basis before Christmas... Anyhow, they only send checks like
once a year (don't know when that is), so it's kind of hard to tell if
it's legit when the reward might be so far off.... anyhow, it has some
great games that you can win 'tickets' for playing... those 'tickets'
then can be given to the school/charity of your choice... also the
tickets are earned for up to 10 searches per day.... now, each ticket is
only worth a penny, so it does take a LONG time for those tickets to add
up, but I suppose if you had lots of people involved, say you have your
students do a couple searches per day, the tickets would add up lots
faster. Once again, I still question the payout... haven't seen any
return yet, but it's fun to play with and will be a great bonus if it's
legit!

I had administrators ask me about it. I haven't spent a lot of time
going over it . . . but was not particularly impressed with what I
found. A search for Martin Luther King brings up Wikipedia and this

Martin Luther King Jr. - A True Historical Examination
Attacking Dr. King as a corrupt communist, under the control of a
Marxist Jewish conspiracy.
http://www.martinlutherking.org/

A search for panda and only 2 out of 10 results are even animal related.

Fund raising is important--but I personally don't feel like whatever
little we might earn would be worth the idea that I am encouraging
people to make random internet searches. Of course, that is just me.
