Hello, all, I think I know the answer to this already, but most of my sources deal with copyright in schools and libraries, and this is a private project: a friend's relative wants to read children's books downloadble on some sort of electronic device that could be used by children in a local hospital. The readings may or may not be accompanied by the hard copy of the book. I know recordings are commercially available, but a large part of the project is providing the relative with a task he sees as contributing to the welfare of the hospitalized children. Should I advise them to seek permission from each book's publisher or advise them not to undertake this project at all? Thanks.
