Good morning all. My library (elementary school, 2 classroom size) is in the
planning stages of a renovation & we are looking to incorporate 30 computers in the
general classroom seating area of the library. There is no room for a separate
computer 'lab' area. There are 5 tables with 6 seats at each table in the plan.
The general thinking is that this would allow the seamless use of the computers
with the library lesson.

We are looking at two options right now...
1 - Glass top tables with the computer monitor mounted below the surface where
students have to look down into the table & a pull out keyboard. The main concern
here is that this setup will be difficult for the younger students, although they
don't use the computers as much as grades 3, 4, and 5.

2 - Laptops semi-permanently mounted on a pull out shelf at each seat.

If anyone has used either of these options, please email me off list at my school
email...gmchugh@wbschools.org ...I've been getting a bit overwhelmed with the list
lately so it will help me go through the responses . I will compile a hit if there
is interest.

Thanks in advance for any input you have on this issue.
