This is what I just received from Follett (evidently she is a librarian and that is
why she saw my post so quickly!):
I wanted to respond to your post personally to let you know that the
information your received from Ed_Tech is incorrect. We are not ending
support of our Circulation/Cataloging product in 2009. As a legacy
product, development and support will end at some point in the future
but we have no plans to end them at present. While we would love to have
your District consider Destiny we would hope you would select Destiny
based on the quality of the product and high level of support you have
received not because your current product is obsolete.
I would really appreciate your assistance in correcting this information
on LM Net and if possible a link to the source of the information that
you sited so that I may correct this information at the source. Thank
you so much.

BTW I also received a post from another librarian on LM_NET and she, too, had been
told by her rep that customer service was being discontinued. So, I'm not really
sure what is happening!
