Lynnette, I have the pictures ready for you. Printed well at the middle school. Thought I'd forward this message about inkjet vs laser color printers. The printer at the middle school is a laserjet. Thought I might share some of Daniel's 4-H pictures. They were done on an inkjet printer. I have an old color inkjet printer in the library. A person would have to see how well it works. I'm not using it because I don't want to mess with an inkjet printer. I'm assuming Loretta wasn't using it because there wasn't money for the ink. I just thought if it worked for an occasional need for a picture the printer might have a use. Quality of the paper also depends on the type of paper used. I printed one picture on school paper and the others on a whiter heavier stock quality from Walmart. Even that shows a difference. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [LM_NET] TECH/TARGET: COLOR PRINTERS Date: Thu, 24 Jan 2008 10:38:57 -0500 From: COLETTE LAGEOLES <lageoles@RCN.COM> Reply-To: COLETTE LAGEOLES <lageoles@RCN.COM> To: LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU I've checked the archives but I still need help. I want to buy a color printer. I'm told by the art teachers that an InkJet printer produces a better quality color copy than a LaserJet printer. The purpose of having the color printer is to enable the students to print the occasional graph, photograph from the Internet, cover page for a report. Its use will be limited. Does anyone have any experience with the new Kodak color printer? or any other color printer now on the market? Also, what are your thoughts about the ink (which I have heard can cost a fortune over a short period of time). Many thanks for your suggestions.
