My ESL teacher is wanting my to find a picture book with satire that
she can use with her 4th and 5th grade ESL students. I have a few
(listed below) but am wondering what else there may be. Any ideas?

The stinky cheese man... by Jon Scieszka (The only one I could find in
the archives and by web search.)
A fine, fine school by Sharon Creech (Satire of how far some will go
to create the best school.)
The king's commissioners by Aileen Friedman (Satire of bureaucracy.)
Dear Mrs. LaRue... by Mark Teague (Satire? of how pampered some
American pets are.)
Yertle the turtle by Dr. Suess (Satire of the quest for power.)
Suggestions from LMNetters:
The True Story of the Three Little Pigs?
I like to think that Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type is really a
primer on unionization and socialism, but I'm sure if it's satire per
se.
Duck for President is a satire on politics and voting.
Our ELL teacher is using the Geronimo Stilton books, and her students
are enjoying them.
