Oh Great and Wise Members of LM_NET:
The English Department here is trying to plan their curriculum for next year
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Missouri wants the
high schools to begin to track students into either college bound or
vocational courses.
When we have had career English in the past many elements were duplicated in
the business department.
On behalf of our English Department I am seeking your help.
Does anyone have a career English course for which they would share their
curriculum?
Can anyone suggest a textbook for career English?
The teachers would like to avoid just having a reading/writing class. They
would like to do both creative and technical writing. They would like to
include activities, field trips, projects also.
Can anyone share activities that students do at your school?
I so appreciate your help. Where would we turn without LM_NET?
