Hello, I have had the pleasure of subscribing to LM_Net for a number of years, but this is my first post. I am excited to announce that I have gotten my first Media Specialist position at a high school in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. My question is this: I finished my MLIS degree 4 years ago. And, due to several life circumstances (babies, second masters, etc.), I've never had a chance to obtain professional library position. So, I'm a bit rusty.. I'm looking for recommendations on what to read, catch up on, etc. before I begin this August. I still have all my text books from my masters, but I'm not sure how helpful those will be. Any articles, books, magazines, websites, blogs, etc. that you could recommend to quickly bring me up to speed would be appreciated. TIA Stephanie Bevier Media Specialist :-) Bloomfield Hills, MI -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
