We're a Mac-based school, so use iMovie (the old HD version, NOT the 08 version, which Apple gutted for some reason). It's certainly more versatile and a bit more powerful than MovieMaker, but that won't be much help if you don't have access to Macs. Jumpcut is an easy (and free!) online tool that allows basic, collaborative editing. I have my students use it when they're working on editing a project from home. It ends the "we can't get together" excuse! http://www.jumpcut.com/ As to RSS feeds, I had my faculty set up Google accounts and showed them Google Reader. Hadn't really thought about using Firefox for that. Does it just go to your email? I'm not sure I'd want even MORE clutter there! : ) Jeri Hurd Library Media and Technology Specialist King and Low Heywood Thomas School 1450 Newfield Avenue Stamford, CT 06905 203-322-3496 ext. 332 jhurd@klht.org TechBlog: http://www.bib20.blogspot.com "I really didn't realize the librarians were, you know, such a dangerous group. They are subversive. You think they're just sitting there at the desk, all quiet and everything. They're like plotting the revolution, man. I wouldn't mess with them."
