[LM_NET] Target:School websites

Hello LM-Netters,
 
This is my first time posting to the the listserv, though I have been subscribed to 
the listserv since my graduate school days.  Last school year, I was an itinerant 
media specialist with my school system and my only responsibility was teaching 
library and information literacy skills to elementary school students at three 
schools.  This year, however, I was asked to be the full-time media specialist at 
one of my schools. Now, I am responsible not only for teaching but also some 
administrative tasks as well.
 
I am excited about the opportunity, but, I am petrified to say the least.  The 
previous media specialist was also the technology liaison. Everyone came to the 
library for all of their technology needs and questions.
 
 Now, the new principal wants me to create a school website.  My question to you  
guys is where do I start?  I want to wow the principal so that she will view me and 
the library as indispensable asset to the school.  Any advice or help you can 
provide would be greatly appreciated.
