I have just received a smart board and a document camera for my media center. I have some ideas for how to use this technology because I've been to many training sessions, but I keep seeing how classroom teachers can use the technology. I'd like to know how media coordinators are using this. I have written a few lessons that deal with research and some with retelling a story, a few with author studies because I can add pictures of the authors and links to their sites...but I am just getting started. I don't really know what to do with the document camera. I wonder if it is as easy as putting a book under it to let them see the pictures and words better. It wasn't fully functional before I left for the summer so I haven't explored with it yet. If you share any ideas or lessons, I'll post a HIT.
