If y'all will pardon me for posting a response to a target to the list and
not to the original poster . . . this might be of general enough interest
to be worthwhile . . .

As a small publisher (as of this year -- and oh, please DO feel free to
visit the links in my sig. block, below), I am thrilled to have my book
covers displayed on websites. (Better yet if with ISBN and other
information that will aid in ordering!) If you are not turning the covers
to some other use besides publicizing the book in question (that is, not
repurposing them), from my point of view, the more the merrier. Book covers
are typically reproduced on such book-selling sites as Amazon.com and
BarnesAndNoble.com. Publishers want that. The more promotion the better.
I'll be astonished if any publisher (or author, for that matter) feels
otherwise.

Regards,

Ken Umbach
