LM_NET Archive

I thought I would respond to this through the list also because I have
wondered the very same thing and a fellow LM_Netter gave me the best
solution through mention of using the site "Goodreads.com" to post book
reviews. I signed up for the Goodreads site as a way of archiving and
retreiving books I had personally reviewed and discovered a widget to add
to your webpage. The widget displays cover pictures of the books you have
reviewed. You organize your books on the site into "shelves" that you
create. So, you could create a "Summer Reads" shelf, etc. The cover images
link not only to your review, but to Amazon for ordering information. You
can see my widget at my site:

I hope to have a library of my own very soon!

Subject: Target: copyright regarding book covers on websites

Hi all,
I have heard conflicting information about this, and hope that someone can
help me with the official answer. I searched the archives, but didn't see
anything.
Is it a copyright violation to post book cover pictures on my website?
I am preparing my summer reading pages, and would like to include them if
it is legal. My website is not password protected, so could be viewed by
anyone. I am not selling the books, just promoting the reading of the books.
Thanks in advance,
